Circular route Oachner Höfeweg

The starting point of the Oachner Höfeweg is the well-known Prösels Castle in the small hamlet of the same name near Völs am Schlern. The Oachner Höfeweg, consistently signposted, leads through a fascinating cultural landscape to St. Kathrein. On the way back, take path no. 5 to Schnaggenkreuz and then continue to Prösels. Below the castle is a parking lot from which hiking trail no. 3 first leads through meadows, then through forest, heading west. After about 20 minutes, the Oachner Höfeweg branches off to the right at the so-called Wirtskeller. The Wirtskeller, now partly restored ruins, was formerly the cellar of the innkeeper in Prösels. The path passes the farms Riefer, Flunger, and Dosser towards Mitter- and Unterpsenner and finally to the Gmoaner Buschenschank in Unteraicha. From here, there is an excellent view over the Tierser Tal towards the Rosengarten. The path now turns east and winds up above the Tierser Tal through the cultural landscape. It passes other farms
