Bear Trail

Björnstigen is an adventure trail that starts at the northern end of Ängen, near the Södra Berget Outdoor Recreation Center. The trail is about 1 kilometer long and winds up and down through rocky terrain. Along the trail, we’ve set up a number of adventure challenges, such as the rock wall, the zip line, the vine swing, and the balance beam. All of these challenges are optional—you can skip them if you’d like—and you walk the trail at your own risk.
It’s a good idea to wear sneakers or similar footwear, and if you’re 11 years old or younger, we recommend that you bring an adult with you. The trail takes about an hour to walk, depending on how many of you there are and how adventurous you are.
At the end of the trail, there’s a lookout point with barbecue facilities. The trail is marked with pink trail markers shaped like bear paws. Restrooms and an accessible restroom are available at the rest hut.
