From the village of Steinenberg you start off in a northerly direction. More or less along the fall line, you climb the 900 metres in altitude to the Wildspitz. It is less strenuous if you follow the summer hiking trail and zigzag up. On the Wildspitz you can enjoy a magnificent view over the region. For the descent, first follow the ascent trail in an easterly direction, but then branch off to the left at terrain point 1521 and hike in the direction of Urzlenboden. Continue along the fall line again past Schönalphüttli to Meisbüel or on to Unterägeri.
