Only moderately attractive for ski tourers, but quite doable for snowshoe hikers: this route leads largely through forest but also offers nice views repeatedly. At the end is a summit from which the challenging ascents to the surrounding mountains can be clearly seen.

From the parking lot in Chialvetta head south (soon separating from the path along the creek) uphill through the forest. Later the path turns east and passes the Alm Gr. Ussiera. After the Alm continue following the trail southeast, later keeping more to the east towards the saddle between Monte Piutas and Soleglio Bue. From the saddle turn left to the summit of Soleglio Bue (from the saddle right leads to Monte Piutas - significantly more demanding).
On the descent you can also shortcut through the forest after the Alm Gr. Ussiera (many ski tracks).
