Hütte LovnaSafety information
generally safe route under normal conditions.Roadbook
From the Vada hut you first follow the red marked path, at about 1,650 m altitude you turn left onto the blue marked path. Depending on the snow conditions, the markings may be difficult to see and you have to find your own way through the forest and the mountain pines before the pole markings start at about 2,200 m altitude. We follow these past the first lake (Dolnoto Ezero - Lower Lake in German), then over a steep section and left to the Sedemte Ezera hut (Seven Lakes hut). Past the lake on the right and passing two more lakes (Trilisniko Ezero, Bliznako Ezero), before reaching the red marked trail and turning north past Babreko Ezero. Now always follow the ridge until you reach the T-bar lifts from the Rilski Ezera hut. You can now descend to the hut or continue along the ridge. If you continue along the ridge, the signposting always points to the Skakavitsa hut - shortly before this, however, it goes right onto a blue marked path. This later meets the path coming from the Rilski Ezera hut - from there the marking is blue-yellow and leads to the Lovna hut. From there, return to the starting point along the red marked path.
