Route: From the parking lot, go up next to the toboggan run to the starting house (1340 m) and from here straight ahead to the hairpin bend of the forest road (branch, signpost). Continue westward over the bridge into the forest and steeply up the narrow mountain ridge between Liechtenbach and Finstertal. After the tree line, the moderately steep meadows open up to the alpine village of Wildangeralm (1749 m, wayside cross). Above the huts, go through a short forest section higher and onto the wide alpine pastures of Krimpenbachalm (1930 m). From there, head north to the Krimpenbach saddle (1899 m) and, along a fence (Almrosensteig), to the highest point of the Kuppe (1939 m).Descent: The descent proceeds eastward along the right edge of the piste to the Rosskogel hut.
