Mitterfeldalm (1669 m) and Predigstuhl (1654 m)
The snowshoe hike to Mitterfeldalm is short, easy and very scenic but should only be done in stable snow conditions. You walk at the foot of the impressive Mandlwand on the comfortable hut path to the mountain hut closed in winter. From there, you can make a short detour to the beautifully designed memorial cross at Predigstuhl.

From the parking lot, follow the signposted summer trail to the Mitterfeldalm. Shortly after starting, you have to bypass a small training ski lift by climbing up to its mountain station and then descending a few meters to the hut path. Alternatively, the training lift can also be bypassed via the valley station of the Hochkeil ski lift. Afterwards, ascend left parallel to the training lift up to the summer trail. The rest of the ascent continues along the scenic summer trail. This leads, after a short forest section, across the southern slopes at the foot of the Mandlwand. After an initially somewhat steeper section, you walk very comfortably, partly flat, partly gently descending, to the last, this time steep ascent, before suddenly standing in front of the Mitterfeldalm. It is worth descending a few minutes east over the flat Alpine pasture to a shallow hollow and from there going a few meters steeply up to the memorial cross at Predigstuhl. Caution: Right behind the cross is a vertical cliff!
Return the same way and after a well-deserved rest at the hut, continue descending to the Arthurhaus.
