Easy route at the entrance of the Schmirn Valley
Route: The ascent starts at Lorleswald near the Muchnersiedlung (bus stop). Initially, follow the path leading to the farmhouse. At the curve, leave the path and first walk upwards over the meadow to an altitude of about 1500 m and then turn southeast into the forest clearing created specifically for ski mountaineers. In the forest, you ascend while crossing the forest road several times until you reach the clearing in the Auer Wald (1820 m, trail cross). Cross the clearing, then continue ascending southwards through the sparse forest terrain, making a gentle curve to the forest edge and up to the ridge. Upon reaching the top, turn east toward the summit (2078 m). Descent: via the ascent route.
