"Introductory route" for beginners to the Faltschnalalm in the snow-safe Pfelders.

Route by Christian Widmann. From the parking lot in Pfelders, follow markings 6–8 south of the village heading into the valley. Over the ski slope and past the AVS hut, proceed west towards Lazins. Shortly after the village, take a short stretch over the toboggan run descending from Grünboden, then turn left onto trail marking 6 leading to Faltschnalalm. Ascending through a larch forest, continue to follow signs for Faltschnal/Spronser Joch. Just above the tree line is the Faltschnalalm, offering a magnificent panoramic view. Behind the Faltschnalalm, keep slightly left and hike up to a broad saddle (1950 m). From here, you have a stunning view of the entire Ötztal main ridge with the Zwickauer Hut and the Hinterer Seelenkogel. Then, return to the leveling of the alpine pasture, cross the Faltschnalbach, hike 70 m up the ridge descending from Erenspitze, and meet the path (marking 4) leading down to Lazins.
