A challenging snow hike to the Campill in Lüsen.
Route by Walther Dorfmann. From the parking lot, ascend via the toboggan run to Maurerdreiwiesen. In the now open terrain, continue eastwards (Mark. 2) towards Genaider Alm. On this section, you will also encounter the key point, a steep slope requiring some caution. From the Alm, proceed northeast, partly through sparse woodland, to an alpine hut behind which the stream ditch can be easily crossed. Almost flat, continue eastwards to Jakobsstöckl. More or less directly on the ridge, now climb northwest towards the well-visible summit of Campill. Descent from Campill: initially descend about 50 meters westwards, then turn northwest and reach the Kreuzwiesen hut in a wide left curve, which is still hidden behind a wooded ridge. Return to the parking lot via the toboggan run or the Schmatzhaus path (Mark. 2A).
