This snowshoe route in the Aletsch Arena is wonderful after fresh snowfall. Along a rock formation, you hike over the Hohfluh into the Aletsch forest and finally back to Riederalp.

This snowshoe hike in the Aletsch Arena does not follow a marked trail. However, it is available as a guided tour. With the cable car, you float from Riederalp to Moosfluh. This viewpoint is probably one of the most beautiful photo spots to capture images of the Great Aletsch Glacier. After a group photo and selfie time, initially head towards Biel, then descend slightly to a prominent rock group. You track along the rocks. Especially after fresh snowfall, this is an almost adventurous pleasure. The rest of this snowshoe route is entertaining. A gentle ascent brings us back onto the wide mountain ridge, then it passes the Hohfluh and descends variably until you reach the summer hiking trail through the Aletsch forest. Many animal tracks and gnarled larches accompany us through the winter silence of the forest before we reach Riederfurka and finally Riederalp.
