Sledding route with a magnificent view and a rustic place to stop
The Buchel Alpe, located at 1290 m above the valley town of Unterjoch/Obergschwend, is a popular destination in winter for ski tourers and snowshoe hikers. Families also enjoy the access road prepared in winter, which you can walk up and then slide down with a sled or toboggan. The Alp is a member of the "Allgäuer Alpgenuss" association – meaning that the majority of the food offered here comes from the region or even from their own production. From the beautiful sun terrace, you have an impressive view over the Allgäu Alps to the Tannheimer Valley.
