Without a lift but with a stunning view, this slope is perfect for families and anyone who loves to romp in the snow. The manageable distance is safe for children and offers plenty of space to pick up good speed with the sled. After sledding, you can relax in the nearby Hochheide hut with warm drinks and a hearty meal. A real highlight for a relaxed winter day!

Directions
From the Ruhr area: Take the A44 towards Kassel. At the Werl motorway junction, switch to the A445 towards Arnsberg. At the motorway end in Bestwig, continue on the B7 towards Winterberg. In Olsberg, turn onto the B480 towards Winterberg. After the towns of Assinghausen and Wiemeringhausen, you will reach Niedersfeld. Drive through the village and follow the signs to Hochheide. Once at the top, free parking spaces are available. From there, it is only a few meters on foot to the toboggan slope.
From Hannover or Münster: Use the A2 or A1 to the Kamener Kreuz. From there, continue on the A1 towards Cologne until the Dortmund/Unna motorway junction. Switch to the A44 towards Kassel. At the Werl motorway junction take the A445 towards Arnsberg. At the motorway end in Bestwig, follow the B7 towards Winterberg. In Olsberg, take the B480 towards Winterberg. After Assinghausen and Wiemeringhausen, you will reach Niedersfeld. Drive through the village and follow the signs to Hochheide. Free parking spaces are located right at the top, just a few meters from the toboggan slope.
From Cologne/Düsseldorf: Take the A4 towards Olpe. At the Olpe-Süd motorway junction, change to the A45 towards Dortmund and immediately take the next exit (Olpe). From there, continue on the B55 towards Lennestadt/Schmallenberg. In Bilstein, turn right towards Schmallenberg. In Altenhundem, you reach the B236, which takes you to Schmallenberg. Behind Schmallenberg, the B236 becomes the B480. Follow this through Winterberg towards Brilon. After about 7 km past Winterberg, you reach Niedersfeld. Follow the signs to Hochheide. At the top, you will find free parking spaces, only a few meters from the toboggan slope.
From Frankfurt: Take the A5 towards Kassel. At the Gambacher Kreuz, change to the A45 towards Gießen. At the Gießen Süd junction, take the A485 towards Marburg. This becomes the B3 behind Gießen, which you follow through Marburg. After Marburg, take the B252 towards Korbach/Wetter and stay on it until Münchhausen. There take the B236 towards Winterberg. After Battenberg, Hallenberg and Züschen, you reach Winterberg. Drive on the B480 towards Brilon – after about 7 km, you reach Niedersfeld. Follow the signs to Hochheide. At the top, you will find free parking spaces, and the toboggan slope is only a few meters away.
