Our starting point is Ramsau, beautifully nestled opposite Reiter Alpe, Hochkalter, and Watzmann. For many winter lovers, the place is well known – also because of its reliable snow conditions. After a good hour's ascent on foot, mostly along groomed forest paths, we reach our starting point at the valley end, the Eckaualm. The descent will soon challenge every tobogganer after the rather flat initial section, and in no time we swiftly toboggan down to Ramsau.

From the car park, we walk west for a bit along the Ramsauer Ache, then turn left away from it and follow two tight curves. Soon we reach a fork, where we keep right. Afterwards, the forest road is almost straight and leads with only a gentle bend up the north slope of Steinberg to the Eckaualm. We toboggan down the same way, encountering some steep sections. Here, we should not underestimate our speed, especially when we reach the car park again.
