The Wetterspitze is actually a very popular ski touring destination, but it is mostly climbed from the north side, i.e. from the Pflersch valley. However, its south side also offers wonderful ski slopes and a magnificent view down into the Ridnaun valley. The summit panorama also extends from the Pflerscher Tribulaun over the Becherhaus and the Stubai Alps to the Dolomites. Especially beautiful is the small white Madonna on the summit cross itself.
Author’s recommendation
With enough snow, the long forest road can also be shortened via the summer path through the forest in steep hairpin bends.

Safety information
Pay attention to safe avalanche conditions. Especially when you are under the steep slopes of the Maurerspitze.Roadbook
From Maiern (parking near Hotel Schneeberg) follow the bridge and signpost No. 27 to the start of the forest road. Now follow the long forest road to the Prischeralm/Wetterspitze junction. Always continue along the forest road until you finally leave the forest behind and pass under the slopes of the Maurerspitze towards alpine huts. The forest road leads all the way up to the Prischeralm, but you can easily shorten it via the great slopes. From the alpine pasture aim straight up to the notch, from which you can also descend to the Pflersch valley. Here usually ski depot and then continue over the ridge to the summit. Descent as ascent.
