Long approach through the Brentersbachtal and the Faselfeiltal to the south, at the end of Faselfeiltal via the Schafbichl to the Kromsattel, and further over the SE flank to the summit. The route is also suitable for snowshoe hikers.
Author’s recommendation
Those who want to gain a few more altitude meters after descending from the Kromsattel can ascend northwest to the Faselfeiljöchl at around 1700m (approx. 300m vertical ascent). Ideal ski terrain also awaits here.

Safety information
In case of precarious avalanche conditions (in any case starting at level 3, possibly even already at level 2), the northwest slopes in the Faselfeiltal, which must be crossed on the way to the Kromsattel, can be dangerous. Stable conditions and secure ski technique are also needed for the summit slope.
Roadbook
At the end of the village of Namlos (towards Kelmen), follow the road southeast into the Brentersbachtal; from the front Sageboden at about 1470m, continue along the Faselfeiltal to its end at the Schafbichl. From here, ascend moderately steep to steep slopes to the Kromsattel, then via the southeast flank to the summit. Descent is the same route as the ascent.
Those who still have strength after descending from the Kromsattel into the Faselfeiltal can skin up again at around 1700m (landmark: two striking old larch trees) and ascend northwest towards the Faselfeiljöchl (approx. 2060m). A gently defined ridge below the pass is suitable for this.
