The Tour de Sas in the Gadertal-Alta Badia is a ski touring race of a special kind. Both athletically and scenically, a breathtaking experience.
The Tour de Sas starts at the valley station of the Heiligkreuz chairlift. Up to the Heiligkreuz chapel, turn left to the Armentara meadows and down to Plan de Sotsas. Always continue towards the hamlet of Spescia. Skin up and follow the path along the Val de Fanes. Steep climb to the Antoniusjoch and the notch of Neuner. Descent down to the Lavarella shelter. This is followed by another long and exhausting ascent into Val Parom and to the notch at Piz da Lé. Descent to Forcella de Medesc and into Val Medesc. Another short ascent to the Heiligkreuz hut and from there descent down to the village of Badia.
