Nice ski tour in the Obersee valley with alpine finale (WS).
The Glarus Tierberg promises a not too difficult ski tour with a beautiful view of Lake Zurich and Walensee. The path to Ahornenalp, which is hidden in a valley basin surrounded by steep rock walls, leads comfortably along a forest road. The ascent over the 30° steep southwest slope is strenuous, but the piste-like treeless area guarantees an enjoyable descent. The short summit ridge feels somewhat alpine and is walked on foot. Very good skiers can ski directly from the summit under safe avalanche conditions.
