Three Peaks Crossing

Ascent: From the car park, take the unmarked road in the direction of the Auronzo hut to the toll booth. From there, either take the prepared road or the summer path (at the tollbooth, follow the signpost no. 101 on the right) up to the Auronzo hut. Now there is a long, flat traverse underneath the southern slopes of the Three Peaks, followed by a short ascent to the Paternsattel. From there you descend briefly in a northerly direction to the Rienzboden below the Three Peaks hut. An ascent of about 150 metres of altitude takes you to the Drei-Zinnen-Hütte.
