Cozy yet rewarding ski route in the center of the Carnic Alps
The ski tour to Wodnertörl combines a comparably easy ascent (no steep slopes on the way up) with great views and an enjoyable descent.
Author’s recommendation
Part of the approach is identical to the ski route to Valentintörl (ST_N2) and further to Rauchkofel (ST_N3).
Depending on the snow conditions, the route starts already at the B110 junction/access to Untere Valentinalm or correspondingly later at Untere Valentinalm (possibly even only at Obere Valentinalm).

Roadbook
Starting point:
Starting from the parking lot, walk a few meters up the B110 towards Plöckenpass, then turn right onto the forest road towards Untere Valentinalm.
Follow the forest road for a while, then after the bridge turn left onto the summer path (shortcut) and after a few minutes you will return to the forest road, which you continue to walk up.
Along the forest road, pass Untere Valentinalm (1,220m), stay on this forest road, and after a few shortcuts along the summer trails, you reach Obere Valentinalm (1,540m).
From here your ascent continues westward in the open terrain until you notice a "distinct left bend" (approx. at 1,650m - outlier of Rauchkofel). The further route now leads you right, over beautiful (sunny) slopes, to Wodnertörl (2,059m).
Your efforts will be rewarded with a magnificent view into the valley as well as of the mighty Kellerwand.
Descent:
The descent is via the ascent route - the indicated time covers "only" the duration of the ascent, not the descent.
