ST 3 Graukogel

The starting point of the ski tour on the Graukogel is the parking lot at the valley station of the Graukogel cable car. This is located on the road from Bad Gastein to the Kötschach Valley. The ascent leads from the parking lot first along the ski slope to the middle station. After a few minutes of walking, you cross the chairlift of the Graukogel cable car here and reach an open field above the Windischgrätzhöhe with a view of Bad Gastein. You follow the narrow, slightly flatter forest road until it merges again into a wider slope. At the middle station, you now reach the mountain station along the slope. You pass the middle station and take the flat path in a north-eastern direction. After the so-called “S”, a short steeper slope section, it continues through rugged terrain to the valley station of the drag lift. After that, there are two more challenging ascents until you reach the mountain station of the Graukogel lifts.
