A great ski route in the Salzburg mountains! The panoramic view from the summit is breathtaking, and the descent is also a pleasure with good snow conditions!

This ski route is only for experienced ski tourers and deep snow riders. You first follow the forest road to Kreealm (not managed in winter). Then follows an idyllic section through the forest before you reach the beautiful mountain basin in the national park area. Now keep to the right track towards Schöderhorn (left goes to Mureck). You cross the basin and then climb left towards Schöderhorn.

With good snow conditions, the descent to the wooded section is a pleasure!

    Author’s recommendation

On cold winter days, the wind usually blows strongly at the summit. Take warm clothing and hot drinks with you.

    Roadbook

You start directly from the parking lot – cross the long field and then go left uphill towards Kreealm. Here you have the choice between the more comfortable forest road or the steeper path / shortcuts.

Pass Kreealm and enter the forest to the right. As soon as you reach the tree line, keep right (left leads to Mureck) and cross the basin. From here, the view is simply a dream. Then go left up to Schöderhorn.

The descent is a dream with good snow conditions. From Kreealm, you follow the forest road.
