In South Tyrol, ascending with skis on the slopes during operation and especially during grooming work is prohibited.
In the Schöneben-Haideralm ski area, it is possible to ascend on ski touring skis from St. Valentin to the Haideralm via a separately constructed ascent path. This ascent route is accessible during the day while the ski area is operating. From Haideralm, you can continue upward via the Haideralm slope. The Haideralm slope is no longer groomed and can therefore be used during the ski area operation during the day.
There is also an evening regulation during which no grooming work is carried out:
Every Tuesday evening, ski tourers and snowshoe hikers can ascend and descend via the "Talabfahrt" ski slope from St. Valentin to the mountain restaurant "Haider Alm" from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The mountain inn "Haider Alm" is open from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM and offers a fondue and steak evening (only by reservation).
Please observe this regulation!
