Scenic and easy route that offers a lot for relatively little effort.
About one third of the one and a half hour route can be done on the mostly packed hiking trail. Then follows gently to moderately steep terrain.

From Balderschwang, follow the winter hiking trail towards Siplinger, past the 2000-year-old yew. From the "Obere Balderschwanger Alpe" onwards, you need to find your way through gently to moderately steep terrain.
The summit offers an unrestricted panoramic view!
The descent initially follows the ascent, then continues down the slope with a pleasant gradient. After a short section through the forest, the alternation of the packed winter hiking trail and some open spaces with gentle slopes between the trail sections remain.

Equipment
Standard touring equipment. The terrain is relatively avalanche-safe (you still need to conduct your own hazard assessment). An avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe, as well as a first aid kit, are part of the standard equipment for ski tourers despite the easy route.Localization
