Dream panorama in the Sexten Dolomites of the Hochpustertal.
Ascent: About 1.5 km in the Achen valley floor to the valley end hut (1526 m). Straight ahead and then right up through the Altsteinertal. It is best to stay in the large valley basin. At 1870 m the valley narrows; continue about 200 m before the waterfall (2020 m). Attention; this part of the ascent is avalanche-prone from the left side! Now ascend right through a hidden gully to the summer path. Continue towards the distinctive rock tower of the Toblinger Knoten, then left over the Achen meadows to just before the Drei-Zinnen hut. At a small wooden hut right through a small hollow; then over a ridge somewhat steeper into the saddle (2519 m) left of the Toblinger Knoten. Left over the gently ascending ridge to the highest point with a small cairn. Descent same as ascent.
