Schildspitze

A short way back on the road to the Enzian Alm. Immediately after the Alm, turn left through the forest up to a fence. Pass its left end and continue diagonally right for quite a distance through light but steep forest to the beginning of the Peder valley. At 2300 m you reach the tree line and the valley flattens. Continue straight to a signpost in the middle of the valley, 2400 m. Straight over the ridge between two valley hollows up to a rocky overhang, 2742 m (point on the map). After the 2742 m point, straight up the large hollow to 3040 m. Here very steep to the right and flat into a large basin, 3080 m. The right hollow leads up to a saddle, 3180 m. Now flat under the broad southeast ridge. Up over this on the ridge and right to the summit with a cairn and summit register. Descent as ascent.
