Those who want to continue to the highest point must have solid alpine skills because the wire rope protections on the exposed summit ridge are usually covered by snow and ice in winter.
It is very important to follow the environmentally friendly ascent route clearly displayed on a large board at the parking lot, which does not touch the habitats of the hazel grouse.

The optional summit ascent requires secure avalanche conditions and good surefootedness.Roadbook
Those who want to reach the summit continue keeping left, through a hollow and over a short steep slope to the start of the summit ridge (ski depot). From here, it is initially easy to a rock step, over which it becomes a bit exposed (wire ropes) and leads up to the summit cross.
The descent follows the ascent route. Alternatively, at the lower end of the free ridge, you can turn left onto wooded but well skiable north-facing slopes. You must pay attention to tend toward the right so as not to miss the forest path leading back down to the forest road. Follow this path back to the starting point.
