High above Weißenbach in the Tauferer Ahrntal
The approach is from the Puster Valley via the Ahrntal. In Luttach turn left to Weißenbach and follow the road to the end of the valley. After starting at the car park, first follow southwards for about 200 m the toboggan run, but then stay on trail no. 22, which leads on the left side of the valley over the ridge and then quite flat into the Wurmtal. Shortly after the Marxegger alp hut, the trail turns downhill and crosses the steep wooded slope above the hut. When the ridge is reached, it goes again in a southwesterly direction, first over the ridge, then across a wide valley on to the Schartl. The descent from the Marxegger Alm can also be done via the toboggan run.
