Roadbook
We follow the Flying Mozart piste in a wide left-right bend to the Berghofalm. Slightly steeper over the Auhofalm to a flattening, where we turn right onto the wide service road. In a wide left bend past Rupertisee to Almstadl and flat along the ski trail Almstadl to Wagrainerhaus. Right past the house we hike on the ridge descent towards Top of Snowspace (mountain station) and leave the secured piste area to the right onto the moderately steep west flank at a suitable point. We cross this to the wide ridge above. To the right of the often corniced east drops, we hike in a wide left bend quite flat to the base of the summit. In the rock-strewn north flank, it is possible to ascend via broad larch corridors to the surprisingly rocky summit of the Saukarfunktel with a beautiful cross.
Descent along the ascent route. If skiing down the ridge to the Top of Snowspace mountain station, the Grießenkareck can quickly be reached via the Muldensattel with only a slight ascent. From here or the Muldensattel, return over the piste area to the starting point.
