Classic midwinter and spring ski route on the Rote Wand in the Antholz Valley.
Starting point for the Rote Wand is the parking lot at the beginning of the lake (1641 m). Over the Antholz Lake (cross-country ski trail) or on the path along the east shore to the Enzian Hut. Now about 20 minutes up the Staller Saddle road (sledding run) until it turns left. From here, a forest road (also sledding run) leads to the Montal Alm on the right. Follow this path briefly and then immediately turn left onto the marked summer path, following a small valley uphill. You cross the road several times. Before the Staller Saddle at the rightmost hairpin (2030 m), diagonally right uphill and across flat terrain to the foot of a ridge descending from the Hinterbergkofel. At 2130 m over a ramp above the stream gorge and then right into the Agstal Valley. Through this valley flat toward the south and later turning westward to below the summit slope of the Rote Wand.
