- Parking lot Bachlalm
- Forest road towards Bachlalm
- Schaidlalm: continue straight in the valley towards Sulzenhals
- Before (approx. 1640) north until before the steepening of the Windlegerkar
- At about 1800 turn right (eastwards) into Rauchkar between Torstein and Raucheck
- Ascent up to the pass (col, approx. 2030)
- Either from the pass southwestwards or already somewhat before towards south to the Raucheck (route choice depending on current conditions)
- Descent: safest route along the ascent.
