Mid-winter ski tour in the Mostviertel region. The route leads almost exclusively over meadows and is therefore feasible even with little snow. If there is no snow (or the necessary fitness) in the valley, you can drive up a road to the Modelsberg farm (approx. 750 m above sea level). This shortens the route from 3.8 to 2.0 km. Cross the Kleine Ois on a footbridge about 50 m southwards. Diagonally uphill to the left until you reach a road. Follow this road briefly in the same direction, then shortcut the next hairpin bends to the right. At the end of this road stands the Model farmstead. From there, cross open meadows to the left, from Haselsteinwand follow a marked path to the edge of the forest and diagonally left through the forest to a forest road. Now there are two options: 1. Comfortably continue left along the forest road to the Prochenberg hut or 2. straight ahead on a marked path through clearing and forest to the hut.

Descent is the same as the ascent. In the upper part, the descent via the forest road is definitely more rewarding.
