Ideal high winter and spring route to the Pleresspitze.
The starting point is the parking lot at Gasthof Glieshof (1824 m). Shortly before the road crosses the stream to Glieshof, the forest road begins, which leads uphill along the left side of the stream to the Outer Matscher Alm. Follow this path for about 40 minutes to the forest edge (caution with uncertain snow conditions!). Now you have wide, moderately steep slopes and hollows in front of you. Continue straight ahead into the large hollow “Planaler Loch”. Through this hollow up to the steep slope under the Valvellscharte. Now cross rightwards to a flat area. You now have the summit directly ahead. Climb up the left edge of the summit slope and over a ridge on the right to the highest point. Descent: same as ascent
