Ski tour to the highest peak of the ski tour paradise Safiental (WS+).
The tranquil Safiental offers a variety of ski tours that are not too technically demanding and have a high starting point. Most routes are on the east flank of the 30-kilometer-long mountain range that separates the Safiental from the Valsertal. The highest peak of the range is Piz Tomül, also called Wissensteinhorn. This ski tour is also not too difficult, although the long Tomülgrat (southeast ridge) might suggest otherwise at first. In fact, the ridge is quite wide and never exposed. The view from the summit is extensive; especially impressive is the good view of the mighty Pizzo Tambo. The most beautiful descent, which requires avalanche-safe conditions, leads directly down the east flank.
