Ski tour in the Wipptal Jaufen valley
The weather forecast takes us today to the Sterzing area. From Sterzing we drive towards the Jaufen valley and turn off at Mittertal past the Jaufen valley farm to Kaltenbrunn. From here, it goes along the forest road into the valley up to the Sennerbergalm. Massive avalanche cones testify to numerous avalanche releases. We overcome the steep section up to the Pernfiechtalm via the forested ridge. As increasingly dense fog sets in and the original goal, the Röthenspitze, is shrouded in thick fog, we start the descent via the ascent route.
