Compared to the classic in the Valzifenz valley, the Rotbühelspitze, this is a slightly shorter and less frequented ski tour with great descent slopes.

Gargellen is located at about 1400m and usually has the best conditions for many ski tours in the area. The Paschianichöpf are an excellent alternative to the often frequented tours to the Schlappiner Spitze or the Rotbühelspitze, the classic at the valley end.
Author’s recommendation
In summer, the Via Valtellina leads over the Schlappiner Joch, which can be seen to the right in the valley, all the way to Poschiavo. So we walk on an old mule track in the lower part.

We start at the parking lot of the Schafbergbahnen in Gargellen and follow the first section of the ski slope along the Valzifenzbach. At the Untere Valzifenz Alpe at 1693m, we leave the ski slope and follow the stream. We pass the Obere Valzifenz Alpe and still stay on the valley floor heading east. The terrain becomes broader, and over gentle ridges, we ascend to the Zollwachhütte at 2221m. To the right, we can see a small alpine hut with an alpine cross. Passing the huts, we now head over moderately steep terrain to the lowest point of the Valzifenz ridge. Just below the ridge (2376m), it becomes a bit steeper. Now we follow the ridge west to the summit. The descent roughly follows the ascent route or goes in front of the small huts over the open slopes and meets the ascent route again at the valley floor.
