From the parking lot in Sportgastein at the Valeriehaus via a beautiful, slightly steep south slope just before the hut to the Bockhartsee hut. Short descent to the dam of the lower Bockhartsee, then over the dam and along a wide ridge to Ortberg. Descent along the ascent track, there is also the possibility to shortcut through the tunnel below the hut if the gate is open.
