Great ski route in Gsies, the side valley of Pustertal
From the village square in St. Martin, first walk to the village entrance where the road branches off to the left into the valley and leads up to Karbachhof. From here the route continues over a moderately ascending forest road through the Karbach valley, past the Leachalm and Gallfallalm. Shortly after Gröffler Wiesele, a shortcut leads left through the valley to Samburg Alm. Now follow the increasingly widening valley over relatively flat terrain up to the Ampertörl. There you ascend on the right along the ridge about 200 vertical meters steeper up to the south summit of Ochsenfelderspitze.
