Roadbook
We first go leisurely over the Hahntennjoch road, which is closed in winter, to Pfafflar and further into the Steinkar. Through the gently rolling dwarf pine terrain, we ascend to the end of the highest-reaching snow slope on the north flank. From here, a snow band logically leads left and then straight to the exit – usually you have to carry the skis on your backpack for at least parts of the route.
From the exit, you can already see the summit cross. A broad ridge leads us to the ski depot below the subpeak. With a traverse on easy terrain to the right, we reach the main peak.
The descent follows the ascent route.
