One of the easiest and shortest ski routes on the Ofenpass road.
Along the Ofenpass road lie a number of popular ski touring mountains that are snow-safe due to their high starting point. Munt Buffalora, among its neighbors Piz Daint, Piz Dora and Piz Turettas, is the easiest and fairly avalanche-safe. From the summit, there is a great deep view into Val Mora, the little-known wild peaks of the Sesvenna group, and the western Ortler group, though the "king" unfortunately hides behind Piz Daint. Interestingly, the summit cross does not stand on the highest point, but this can easily be reached via the broad ridge.
