Our destination, the Lorchenspitze, is located in the Martelltal, which is a well-known ski touring paradise in the upper Vinschgau. The starting point for all ski tours here is very high, around 1850m above sea level, which guarantees safe snow conditions.

The Lorchenspitze, at 3347m high, is a steep, relatively unknown ski route between the Zufritt and Hintere Nonnenspitze, which are much more frequently climbed. Since the Lorchenspitze faces north, you usually find perfect powder snow for a long time. Once you have passed the treeline on the ascent, the beautiful Zufritt valley opens up with its perfectly inclined ski slopes. A truly great ski route!

    Roadbook

You cross the dam and follow the path along the shore to a ditch. From there it goes steeply left through the forest upwards (summer trail no. 17) until the end of the tree line. There the Zufritt valley opens, where you cross the Zufrittbach over a small bridge. Follow straight through the Zufritt valley until below the last steep slope. You climb this on the left side until left into a hollow and then at the end right over a ridge into flatter terrain (about 2700 m). From there you arrive heading right into a large plain. From there you climb over nice slopes towards Lorchenferner and over a last steep long slope to the saddle on the ridge. Then it goes left over the rocky ridge to the Lorchenspitze.
