From the former Bärenalm parking lot on the piste to Schafferreith. A challenging crossing (not in icy conditions) follows to the Bärenalm, then easy to the Türkenkarscharte and the Little Plate. Descent as ascent, skis may need to be carried at the crossing.

ASCENT: From the parking lot (656 m), across the meadow to the road and follow briefly left. At the signpost, do not turn right on the hiking trail, but continue straight onto the piste and immediately slightly right to ascend on the abandoned family slope.
We pass the "lower Buchebenreith" 884 m, pass the trail junction sign (945 m) of the hiking trail on the piste and continue up to the signpost at the two houses Schafferreith at about 1040 m. Continue briefly on the piste, then right through sparse forest on hiking trail 16 up to a forest road ~1180 m. Immediately afterwards, turn left on hiking trail 16 uphill in the high forest. The path is narrow, now steeper uphill, then from 1215 m follows a challenging crossing. The embankment on both sides is very steep, so be careful here. (Only worthwhile if tracked and the snow is not hard frozen, so rather in warm temperatures or when grippy powder, do not take risks!!!). We come to a rock formation "Trogada Stoa" at about 1400 m, through a small hollow, to the right a signpost points to the Peterhoferalm. Keep straight ahead and soon reach the exit (1430 m) onto the plateau. If there is a cornice, it can become tricky. Now on the plateau slightly to the left and ascend briskly in switchbacks through the sparse larch forest. At about 1620 m (high point) descend a few meters to the hunting lodge (~1605 m) and then flat, almost treeless to the Bärenalm at about 1650 m. The path to the saddle in the sparse larch forest is flat with minimal uphill and stretches out somewhat. Then briefly uphill again to the Türkenkarscharte (1741 m). To the left is the Little Plate (1836 m) on the paradise side, the summit is reached in 10 minutes. To the right rises the Hirscheck. On the final ascent it should already be softened by the sun, then it is a relatively easier ascent. 3 hours and 1210 vertical meters. Best views from Prielkamm, Spitzmauer, Kraxenberg, and Almkogel to Höchmölbing and the Höss ski area in the east.
DESCENT: To the saddle and right over the Bärenalm (small ascent) to the plateau of the Bärenkogel descend. Approach the crossing cautiously. Often it is easier to carry the skis on this section (1430 m to 1215 m). Then on the forest road to the piste. Now pleasantly left on the piste, past Schafferreith, descend to the asphalt road (~700 m). Carry the skis briefly and descend the few meters across the meadow to the parking lot. 20 vertical meters and almost 1 1/2 hours (depending on the crossing).
Total: 1230 vertical meters and <4 1/2 hours. over almost 14 km of route distance.
