The Postalm is an excellent base for ski high routes in the Venediger Group. Although the ascents are somewhat longer due to the lower altitude, we gladly accept this because of the excellent accommodation and food. The ascent to the Keeskogel, as well as the summit ridge, is not particularly difficult but long. From the summit, there is an excellent view over the High Tauern, especially to the nearby Gr. Geiger as well as the Groß- and Kleinvenediger. In addition, there is mobile reception at the summit for a change.
During the descent, a stop can be made at the Kürsinger Hut (as shown on the track). However, a direct descent to the Postalm without a short uphill section after the Kürsinger Hut along with a well-deserved refreshment at the Postalm is rather recommended.
