From Pens, 1458 m, over the Talfer to Reifenhof. Very steep ascent into the Kirchbergtal to Kirchbergalm, 1750 m, and at the end of the valley direct ascent in switchbacks (very steep!) to the Durnholzer Jöchl, 2235 m. Over the east ridge to the summit of the Karnspitze. Descent next to the ascent track into the Kirchbergtal and back to Pens.
