Kälberberg

Ascent: Through the village to the cross-country centre. Left über die Brücke und gerade zum Umsetzermasten hinauf (1830 m). Now there are 2 possibilities: a) The direct ascent is via the first steep clearing on the right up to 1950 m. Then the path slopes down. Then turn left; at 1990 m you cross a forest road. Continue straight and then turn right to a clearing. Go all the way up and continue straight through the sparse forest to the forest line in a hollow at 2130 m. Follow this hollow to a plain. Follow this hollow to a plain. Continue for a short distance and at 2250 m turn left to a wooden pole on the ridge (2280 m). b) You can also ascend via the forest path that goes into the forest on the right at the pole. This takes you to below the Kälberalm, always staying to the right at the 2 forks in the path (approx. 2 ½ km). Immediately after the last bend to the left, you reach open countryside.
