Easy ski tour summit on the sunny side of the Flüela valley (L).
The Jörihorn is not a particularly prominent summit but offers a nice firn descent over avalanche-safe slopes. From the summit, you have an impressive view of the neighboring summit Flüela Schwarzhorn, the frozen Jörisees, and in good visibility even the Ortler. The nearby Gorihorn and Pischahorn somewhat steal the show from the Jörihorn, but if you are looking for an easy and short ski tour with a high starting point, the Jörihorn is very suitable. The highest point is partially corniced, and depending on conditions, you may have to stay a few meters below the main summit.
