The route as described here is a short ski route starting from the ski area. However, you can also attach it to a route in the Tauernscharte area by skinning back up from Laubichlalm and from there going to Jochriedel.
The ascent is relaxed along the ridge of Jochriedel, and the descent takes place in the bright larch forest. Depending on the snow conditions, you should be careful since the direct west descent from Jochriedel is quite steep. However, if you descend from the summit towards the southwest, you have a magnificent slope just over 30 degrees.
The route is a nice short escape from the hustle and bustle in the ski area when spring has already arrived down in the valley and the off-piste routes above are fun.

The route begins at the summit station of the Schnapfenriedl ski lift. From there, follow the ridge first east, then south to the summit of Jochriedel. You recognize it by the weather station of the University of Salzburg (please do not damage it).
From there, you can descend the west slope. If you want more tracks down to the gully. We stopped at the forest road, which is usually already tracked. Along the forest road, it goes back to Schnapfenriedl and into the ski area.
As a second option, you can also descend over Laubichlalm towards Wengerau.
