Safety information
Short steep sections above the tree line can potentially be avalanche prone.Roadbook
From the bridge, head southeast across the meadow, past the Untere Seifteralm, and cross a ditch to the right. You reach an alpine farm road at its hairpin bend shortly before a gate. Follow the alpine road uphill to some alpine huts, where the switchbacks can be shortened depending on the snow conditions. Keep left before the huts, then continue through a beautiful hollow. The following steep slopes are bypassed on the right, then back diagonally left uphill to the ridge, not holding too high, otherwise you lose some altitude on the ridge. Flattening northward to the highest point of the Hühnerleitennock. The summit cross stands somewhat lower and even further north.
The descent follows the ascent route.
Public transport
The starting points of the ski tours in the Schönfeld area are not accessible by public transport during the winter season.
