Long but quite easy ski route to the scenic Hofmannspitze in the Passeier Valley - views of Wilden Freiger and Wilden Pfaff
Along the service road to the Timmelsalm, 1979 m. Beyond this, up through hollows and at 2130 m up a short gully between two rounded rocks. Before the stream gorge, turn right into a small saddle. Down a few meters into the plain “Lower Krumpwasser,” 2229 m. The plain slopes flat to the left up to a short gully. Climb this into a hollow, 2340 m. Through this to below the next gully, 2450 m. Climb this and through a flat valley into the next plain, 2640 m. Through the plain to below the large hollow leading to the Schwarzwandscharte, 3059 m. Right – depending on snow conditions with or without skis – to the nearby Hofmannspitze with a small cross. Descent like ascent (some flat sections)
