    Ascent:

From the station Gänsbrunnen at the hiking signpost, immediately around the house and up the slope towards Schmelziwald-Rüschgraben. Through a small tunnel to P.926, where you then follow the ravine directly uphill until the forest ends, then cross open fields westwards to reach the Schilizmätteli. Alternatively, you can follow the signpost "Hasenmatt" to the right. A short steep climb leads to the ridge at P.1315. Follow the ridge, cross the road to the Althüsli and continue westwards to the summit cross of the Hasenmatt.

    Descent:

Initially ski towards Stallboden to a narrow section, then more or less the path steeply downhill to the edge of the forest. Across open fields, slightly keeping left to Müren and descending the Stallboden to P.1161. From here, always follow the forest road to the right down to Subigerberg and back to Gänsbrunnen.
